Hey every Swagen how's ur Volk ? I know this thread may not b 2 everybody's forte but I'm pretty sure th daily euphoria I experience driving this machine will never wear off. I'm new to Volkswagen products but th experience has been life changing and life saving. An excellent friend of mine gifted me a neglected 1986 MkII Jetta in July 2019. I resurrected & learned an Incredible amount of knowledge & understanding concerning the CIS fuel management. Very ingenious. Through trial & error th machine of +375000 miles (16 times round th earth) proved 2b a faithful comfortable & reliable transportation @ 100 mile a day commutes 720mile/wk Veteran. Two weeks ago, after nearly 17000 koni chaud sure-footed miles, my dearly beloved navy blue & phosphorescent pink brake caliper/drum Jetta gave up it's existence saving my life frm Jesus turning left across my path at 65 mph. I thank th universe Jesus turned around & represented himself & his companies trespass against me. No possibility of salvaging th original collector vehicle title w/5 year plates I let everything go. Traded my 79 GMC "Raven James" edition High Sierra 400 SB w/ everything failing option in effect including bald tyres. Through th experience i discovered th state of th art example of a variation of th original concept only better in my new 2019 Volkswagen Mk7.5 Golf 4Motion Alltrack. Reviews touch on "how fun th machine is 2 drive" & that actually is EVERYTHING 2 me. It's how th machines feed back 2 th operator leads th driver through it's operation. I've been a machinist 4many years & hav many parts I've made in orbit above th earth. i like machines a lot .. i ❤️ precision ... never more so then my experience w/ this Alltrack named Sombrero Blanco Serape. I wish 2 share this thread with u as a place where we can express words about how fun it is 2 experience this machine & all th Alltracken Adventure it provides.

Not a lot of traffic around here "honk honk" but it is a nice place 2 read & share words about our machines am i write? sp intentional.
77.12 miles each of th last 356 days I've owned my aLlTrAcKtOr 4 a combined 27,456 miles w/ 9 days left b4 it's one year old. I've experienced not a single issue through pretty much continuos daily operation. Definitely an all weather beast. I found AutoSocks in extreme snow/ice conditions were pretty awesome but in my experience they lasted only 400 miles total in 5 uses b4 they started coming apart. Finishing off th winter still rolling the original Falken Sincera 205's with remarkably quite a bit of tread groove left 2 rub off on th road or snow, ice, mud, sand, whatever. Discovered a better name 4 my machine I call it aLlTrAcKtOr cAvEcAr mExIkAnIs ChEr WeIßEr GoLf-EnGeLsDrAcHe .. seams to really listen & respond 2 my commands & generally operate better with this more accurate name.
I color match painted the interior & exterior of a set of Genuine VW Alltrack 5 peace Sun Screen s. It's now kinda like a vancar or cavecar .. i can see out just fine but no one can see in. Really is nice blocking UV lyt & 4x4 headlights from th rear. Most probably think it's a joke when th rear wiper clears th glass. Ñext purchase will b 4 Fifteen52 TurboMac Rally White wheels & Perelli tyres. Really really like the way this machine runs. Collision Avoidance has saved it self from incident 7 times now all of them no fault of my but other drivers around me .. super excellent technology. Pull mid to high 30+ miles/gal as most of th miles have been at interstate speed. Definitely designed to operate smoothly on th Autobahn & Nuremberg ring. Also I want to add i operate & enjoy the massive Panoramic Moon roof as much as possible i absolutely love that feature of this vehicle. I've learned a lot reading through this & other VW forums. I post here b/c it doesn't seem to be controlled by FB. I've no plans to raise or lower my car as it rides just fine as is. I've read words about high cabin noise but after many many hours driving sometimes with th radio off in silence this aLlTrAcKtOr is th quietest vehicle I've owned. I can hear my fingers lightly rub together @ 75 mph no problem.
I've no plans 4 any performance upgrades as again this machine in stock configuration pretty much blows everything thing off th road except other Golfs. Seriously. I know it's the driver. I'm glad i didn't start applying little stickers of all th different makes & models this machine has embarrassed getting 2 th speed limit because both sides of th car would b covered w/ Mustang, Corvette emblems.
I hope you are all having a better year & are securing all your garden supplies for spring. I'll keep posting here every now & then .. peace b with u & ur's

Bump: One year 5days ago i purchased my aLlTrAcKtOr cAvEcAr ChEr WeIßEr GoLf-EnGeLsDrAcHe currently @ 28,517 miles & nothing but gratitude experiencing th example i own. Vacuumed & detailed th interior b4 th sun set today so that finally happened. Good friend that enlightened myself about th VW brand through his gift commented that th machine still smells like a brand new car one year later... nice. No eating, drinking & absolutely No smoking in this machine. Shortly after purchase i secured sum Tibetan prayer flags with Krishna bells that i hung in th seal of th rear hatch. When i hear those bells in th back it immediately cause's me 2 adjust my operation of th machine .. kinda like a universal safety blanket that protects itself.
Hey I've received only one welcome response frm this forum in this thread & i really appreciate it. Feel free 2 comment about anything 2 do with ur experience w/ ur aLtRaCToR such as how fast ot looks standing still 2 how u put it in motion. I'll throw this out there .. don't u just love it when u get th perfect engagement of th clutch in2 th power & th machine just presses u in th seat accelerating 4words... i love that !! My 2003 Harley-Davidson FXDXT has 127581 miles so i tore it apart all th way 2 th frame & crankshaft in hand. Having this aLlTrAcKtOr cAvEcAr mExIkAnIs ChEr WeIßEr GoLf-EnGeLsDrAcHe has given me th opportunity 2 really make sum thin really incredible. Filming 4 evidence is it's own huge task in itself. Soon i shall resurrect my HD & b able 2 rest this VW now & again but 2day it is definitely an everydayer.

Hi, you mentioned having the factory sunshade accessory. How do you like it in terms of install/removal. is it something that you keep installed all the time or does it snap in/out pretty easily. My kids are always saying the sun is too bright and that they miss my wife's old car (it had sunshades) :) Thanks!

yes i installed the genuine Volkswagen 5 piece sunshade kit .. they are very easy to remove & install the side pieces. Th rear window piece is another story. i painted th outside of each piece pure white & th interior a matching beige. Th rear piece is as all of them a very tight clean fit. Some distortion to th frame does occur fitting th rear piece causing it to sag in th middle. My solution once installed was to position down th middle a 1/8 inch diameter fiberglass rod i repurposed from a broken box kite. i cut th rod a little long so it is spring loaded and presses th top and bottom removing th sag. I've had them installed over a year now & they are an excellent accessory both in heat prevention and privacy.
i can see out of th vehicle in all directions both day & night. i particularly like th rear one for truck & tall vehicle headlights behind my vehicle at night. i hope this information is helpful

yes they stay in place with th windows down. Hav gone up to about 50-60 mph or when ever th vehicle starts warning about aerodynamics effecting gas mileage then i put em up.

Very cool. I really appreciate the info. I’ll definitely look into getting this set. I like the idea of both a bit more privacy and decreased glare. Does the car tell you when you’re in blue trainer that you should roll up windows? I’ve only used that feature once or twice just putzing around town and I didn’t know it was so specific. Have a great night.

i guess I've left th vehicle in "blue training mode" since new because it's always reminding me how to drive it to it's highest efficiency. Most of th time anymore it doesn't hav a lot to say because i operate it they way i will anyway but .. sometimes :/
collision avoidance is pretty awesome as well since it has saved th machine 9 or 10 times now no fault of my own just other drivers & deer doing unexpected things.

👍🏼 I’ll have to try playing with the blue trainer mode. I agree with you on collision avoidance, I just don’t like when it thinks I have to avoid the driveway! Only happens at my in laws’, they have a steep driveway and when backing in, the car will slam on the brakes thinking I’m backing into…the ground?🤔

i remember reading that
in ur post .. th vehicle taking
control is definitely sumthin 2
get use 2. i will operate it th way i know & do not take it personally when th machine rips th steering wheel out of my hands or slams on th brakes when least expected
2 avoid a collision i didn't know was a possibility

pretty sweet
awesome technology

now 4 rocks & other flying
road hazards. my windshield
should have been replaced
after th first crack last summer but now on 2 th 4th 5th & 6th rock crack splinter im going 2 keep running this original glass until i can't see through it or on coming headlight glair becomes an issue. i love th rake of th windshield but it seams very vulnerable without lazer protection.
secured a 2017 Ducati cAfĒ ScRaMbLe RaVeN so aLlTrAcToR cAvAiReNt may rest 3 days a week
