Oil cooler / Radiator upgrade

I'm running a 2019 Alltrack with an APR IS38 ECU tune. The mods include aluminum intercooler, IS38 turbo, cold air intake, downpipe, cat-back exhaust (3" piping), 24mm rear sway-bar, ECS stage 2 clutch and flywheel (single mass) kit, VW/Audi short shifter. I have ordered Bilstein B16 coil-overs and will lower car. I am then going track the car. My question is whether I should invest in an oil cooler and an upgraded radiator? My previous car was a Ford Focus ST and when tracking on hot days it had oil temp issues and so I added the oil cooler and also an upgraded radiator. Can anybody advise me of their experiences on the track with regards specifically to oil temperatures and coolant temps? Thank you for any advice!

Hi Jamie,
Nice mods. I would say our cars are almost twins besides the IS38. I got the IS20 instead. I also have been wondering about cooling updates but I have not received solid feedback on the oil cooler for the motor nor the transmission. However, I will pitch my two cents. I did track the car for two years 2019-2021 and the upgrade that helped me with temperature was that upgraded intercooler, it really helps bring your engine temperature about 3 time quicker than the regular one, and heat soak takes longer to occur, about 3 laps in a 3 miles track here in texas during spring with temperatures around the 90's.
Also, pay attention to the oil, do not use 0-40, use 5-40 this one helps to control temperature better in my experience.
Oil temperature will get pretty high, I would say around 250 running hard, mine has even gone to 260 and the car continue to work normally. However, when I get to this I always do a cooldown lap and start over. Only once, I had an incident where the temperature went above 263 and the car showed a warning message with a chime, and the instructor claim it read " Oil high temperature" and we proceeded to slow down, but I did not get any cut in power nor any issues. That happened one time I used oil 0-40. I spoke with my mechanic and the first thing he pointed out was the use of the thinner oil.
Also, change your brake fluid system for a race type, and use a track pad, I use EBC yellow stuff, they work fine on the roads, just dusty.
