Re 2019 Alltrack w/DSG -Canada, 95,000 kms

Newly acquired Alltrack - the stop-start button seems to require a firm push at the bottom of its travel to activate. Is this normal, or is mine suffering from some sort of damage?

I bought a start/stop delete for mine from AliExpress and it's worked perfectly for 18 months. From memory it was around $30AUD
