- 2017 VW Gold Alltrack SEL
Our Alltrack has almost 80k miles and we took it in for a VW service. They said they did everything but the transmission and ran out of time. We should come back when we have time to finish that. 14.5 miles later the car starts jerking when its is driven and the transmission light comes on. The dealer said that the Mechatronic board in the transmission has failed. Apparently VW no longer makes this board for the Alltrack so we are now looking to find a used one.....or we can never drive our car again! A couple questions - is there anything they could have done during the service to cause the Mechatronic to fail? The timing seems highly suspicious to me. Second - anyone have luck finding a good way to find used transmission parts for an Alltrack?
